Tina's Story
Well I moved alot when I was still in school. In the summer of 2000 I moved back to Indiana. I was working at Home Depot in windows and doors. One day I was on my way home and mom called. She told me her next store neighbor was having her Golden Birthday party and know on showed up and mom wanted me to make an appearance. I never met Kathy until that day. When I arrived I met her brother Ray. His girlfriend was passed out on the couch. Ray and I stayed up until 4am talking and playing rummy. He walked me home which was next store. We exchanged numbers. 3 Weeks later I called him and asked him if he would mind taking me to and from work for a couple weeks. Come to find out him and his girl were not together anymore. Our relationship started to grow and FAST. One year later we planned a 3 week vacation. We didn't know where we wanted to go. We thought of out west and then east coast and neither one jumped out at us. So then we decided lets go south and see where it takes us. We found Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Wow! Neither one of us wanted to go home so we went back north packed up and moved south. We were planning our wedding but pregnancy came first. In Jan. of 2004 mom was throwing me a baby shower so we packed up and drove up...Expand for more
north. We got halfway and our friends spun off the road. We pulled over to see if they are okay. I was 28 weeks pregnant, as big as a house, when I reached the car another car spun off the road and hit me sucked me under and spun out 10 feet. I fractured my pelvis in 3. The breaks were all around my sons head. He was fine but I was in PAIN. I had to move back up north for 24hr care with family. I was wheelchair bound for 3 months and started walking with a cane 2 weeks before I had my son. Raymond Joseph was delivered in April of 04 perfectely healthy. After intensive PT and the doctor said I was healed. We got married and got pregnant with our second baby. 7 Months pregnant with this one we moved back to Arkansas. I had Ryan Micheal in Sept of 06 and at 7 month he had spinal surgery. He was born with a birth defect called Lipoma of the teathered cord. He is doing great now. He had 50/50 chance of using his lower limbs and he is walking now. We bought a 3 bedroom 2 bath home on 5 1/2 acres. We are 5 min to the lake for swimming. And 15 min to 2 different lakes for trout fishing. It is absolutly beautiful here. I thank the lord everyday for the miracles he gave me. I have been married for 2 years and have two beautiful boys.
