Todd's Story
Life
My Life: I have been in a commited relationship with my parter for over 5 1/2 years now. We met through a personal ad on the internet. We sold our house in Las Vegas and moved to Denver, CO. We bought a condo downtown, sold it and moved into a house near many friends and I love it.
My Pets:
I have had my dog for 10 years now. I was told that she is a senior dog now but I think she still acts like a puppy. I believe she is just like me, immature (LOL). I also have 2 adult cats.
My Job:
I just recently went to work at The Children's Hospital of Denver and I love it. It is my first respiratory therapy job since leaving school and I am currently working in the NICU.
School
My school experiences were certainly fun. I travelled all around the Kentwood public schools until I made it to High school then I moved to Nevada and went to Beatty High School. This was a shock to the system after going to East Kentwood. The entire school had only 170 kids when I went to Beatty. ...Expand for more
I had a great time in Beatty, I enjoyed just about everyone I met in Beatty. One thing for sure about a small town like that is you feel connected since you know everyone. I haven't been back to Beatty since 2005. I don't really miss the small town. I love living in a big city and Denver definitely has my heart.
I returned to school back in 2006 to pursue and career change and get into the medical field as a Respiratory Therapist. School was long and the road was not easy. As many of my classmates can attest, working while going to school was very challenging but the rewards at the end are huge.
More about me
Now my partner and I are turning the page to a new chapter in our life. We will be adopting a baby from the foster care system soon and we couldn't be more excited. I also have 1 10 year old son that Terri Richardson and I had together. He comes out to visit ever summer and either Thanksgiving or Christmas every year. He is so much like me that it scares me sometimes.
