Tom's Story
Life
I am married to a wonderful wife, Twyla graduated in 1989 from Peru High School. We have three blonde headed boys Chris, TJ (after Grandpa), and Isaiah.
My passion has come full circle to ruminating on the Glorious God of the Universe. His Son, Jesus, the incarnation of the Wonder God who calls those that were not as though they were. Who can not love a God who wants to free prisoners, call Holy the unrighteous, make lovely the unlovable, make the last first, and the first last? This illogical God exalts the humble, and humbles the exalted. Make his children his enemies, make his enemies His children, who fearcely punishes His enemies and prolongs limitless mercy to His chosen, and not because of their inherent goodness, but because of His unending Greatness.
The bible says all things work together for good to those that love God and are called according to his purpose. It came true for me.
I knew of Christ before and even thought that I "knew him". Now, I know Him. Since highschool, I"ve learned what it means to be God's "e...Expand for more
lect". It means that no matter how much you try to run from God, around every corner will be the Hounds of Heaven: "Goodness", & "Mercy" howling on your trail.
Jesus said, "seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then all these things will be added unto you." He was right. We are blessed far beyond our own worthiness.
My family lives in Carmel, IN. I am blessed with three boys; Christopher 12/04; TJ 4/06; and Isaiah 01/00. Most recently we added Aslan, the wonder beagle to our family. What joy a howling fur ball can add to life.
April 05, TJ was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. God is good. No matter what happens God is good. I find the older I get, the loser my grip becomes on today and my eyes are fixed on the glimmering light of eternity. I have found that hundreds of times I felt abandoned by God only to discover later that my faith was the one abandoning the God who was in the midst of the trial with me. What a great God. My life has been so blessed by the great God is Israel. ASLAN IS ON THE MOVE!
