Tony's Story
I went to Burgundy Farm Country Day School through 6th grade and Hollin Hills Elementary for 7th. Next was Groveton for 8th and 9th grades and William & Mary summer band camp then transfered to The Hawthorne School in DC. Studied drama at the Washington Theater Club and summer program at Catholic U. Also continued music studies (clarinet with Sydney Forest) played Tenor Sax and Piano in rock bands. Attended Colby College then Goddard College. After graduation studied music at Berklee in Boston then UDC in DC. Performed in "Senior Prom" for 2 years at the "O" Street Theater, DC. ce agent. ACC agency (P&C '80 - '88) switched to Life & Health with NY Life '88 -'89. I opened an independent brokerage agency (Insurance Buyers Service) '90 to present specializing in individual/family and small businesses. I have a 36 year old son, B.S. criminal justice from U of MD. I play Baritone Sax doubling on Alto/Tenor and Clarinet/Bass Clarinet in a Thursday night sight reading group, the Bob Gibson Big Band with some of the top players from several of the best semiprofessional bands in the area. I also play in Big Band Tradition and the Civil Air Patrol Swing Command big bands as well as the Dukes of Rhythm (a 10 piece Tenor Band) and Annandale Saxophone Ensemble and sometimes sit in with Blues, Rock and Jazz combos on sax or keyboards.
