tony's Story
Grew up on Detroits Northeast side.My life has been a roller coaster from the time I graduated from grade school in 1963.Was asked by George Perles then coaching St Ambrose High to come to his school and play football.Dad said NO! Costs too much .Went to St Anthony for 1 year and they only carried 23 players and never was looked at at practice and was cut after 3 days without even putting on pads.Tranfered to Osborn in 1964 and at the first practice session I was told I had to sit out one year.That did it and I just gave up.

racing scene until having some close calls in my senior year.I got a job with Great Scott Market at 7 and Gratiot when I was 17 a with them and was managing by age 20.I stayed with them till 1990 when we changed to Kroger from where I retired in June 2011.I lost my first wife of almost 37 years to cancer.
In June of 2016 I married former Osbornite Linda Askew class of 69.
I love doo wop,sports,collecting sports cards and did a several years coaching Baseball and Umpiring baseball.Right now I am enjoying the second chapter of my life with Linda.
