Tony's Story
So heres the outline version:
Worked for a year after HS. Squeezed a 4 year Bachelors at Bible College into 5 years. Got married 1983 while there. 1984 moved to Wisconsin and worked at a camp and conference center for 9 years. While at camp had 2 daughters, now 22 and 20, both in 3rd year of college. Became a volunteer EMT. Got a BS in Elementary Education, started pursuing an Associates in Nursing. 1993 moved to Ohio to operate a laundry and cleaning business with my Bible College roommate. Lasted 18 months. Became a paramedic and continued to pursue Nursing. 1999 moved back to same camp in Wisconsin. Pursued Nursing in a couple different venues. Worked as a Paramedic, Pharmacy Tech at Walmart, Student Nurse at camp and Nurse Tech at a facility caring for Brain and Spine injured people. In Dec 2006 after 12 years got a 2 year associates degree/ADN in nursing. Jan 2007 got a job on a Pediatric/Med-surg unit at a hospital in Illinois. n Wisconsin working with children and adolescents with psychiatric problems. The job in Illinois wasn't all they said it was. Jan 2008 took a position in Pediatrics at a hospital in Waukesha Wisconsin where I currently practice. Contemplating pursuing a Bachelors in Nursing and maybe a Masters. Celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary in May.
In the last 5 years my wife has had breast cancer, went through a lumpectomy, radiation and chemotherapy. She has been cancer free for 3 years. My wife still works at camp and is involved with the HS youth group.
My oldest daughter goes to college at Oak Hills Bible college in Bemidji, Minnesota. Pursuing a degree in Christian Ministries. My youngest goes to Oklahoma Christian University, in Edmond, OK, a burb of Oklahoma City. Pursuing a degree in Sports and Health management. She will be playing varsity fast pitch softball, she's a catcher.
Oh yeah, I shave my head, no hair, got tired of combing it and lost most of it on top anyway. Seemed like the best alternative as opposed to the comb over.
