Tony's Story
I have four children, three sons and a daughter. My youngest son and daughter live here in Jacksonville. My oldest son lives with me now as he recuperates from multiple serious eye surgeries and my middle son lives in Atlanta. Seven grandchildren, six boys and one girl, to keep me occupied when I'm not working. My youngest son and daughter each have a set of twin boys.
I have been moved around the country with work. The chronology goes something like this: Pittsburgh to New Haven, to Los Angeles, to Pittsburgh, to Jacksonville, to Asheville, to Pittsburgh, to Jacksonville, to Charlotte, to Jacksonville. While in L.A. I helped build the rocket engines for he the historic moon landing. I have been in and out of the Jacksonville area for 40 plus years and have seen a lot of changes. I preferred the sleepy little town that it used to be. Although, I do like the cultural things that growth has brought with it. I like playing golf, rarely play anymore but am looking to start again. e on the beach in St. Augustine. I enjoy diving and sailing. In fact on the ya who site I'm known as flasailn, if anyone's interested in talking. I have season tickets to the Jaguars, the Jacksonville Symphony and the Alhambra, the local dinner theater.
I recently returned from my second trip to Italy. Spent time in Nicaragua where I have friends, It:s loaded with hostels and surfers! Have also been to Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico several times, but I just love kicking around Europe. London is one of my favorite places, been there seven times now. Rome is my second favorite city in the world, almost tied with London, going back in March. I have also been to Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Germany, Scotland, Ireland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia and Slovakia, Poland, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Manila, Taiwan, China, Mexico, many Caribbean Islands, and last but not least, Hawaii four times. I have a list of 10 places I want to go before I leave this world. I'm looking for a traveling companion, any volunteers?
