Slim's Story

Life After a youth spent as a mule packer, I became a newspaper reporter, later editor, and finally I was a columnist for many years for first The Anchorage Daily News and then The Albuquerque Journal. wrote eight books. Fun, right? Sure, but it cost me several marriages and being able to raise my six children, so that was a heavy price to pay. Today I live in Albuquerque, am a columnist for New Mexico Magazine, am living with a wonderful lady named Catherine, and run a sporting goods store. Hi to all of you.
