Family is my life, Education was my goal, Engineering is my profession, and Outgoing is my personality.

Working hard is my nature and way of life, but music and POETRY is my SOUL.
Just a Few Words of Self-Introduction
"ROOT":
I am definitely a MAN, no IF, BUT, or WISHFUL thinking. I was born and grew up in SAIGON (formerly Capital of South Vietnam), Vietnam. After the devastating so-called “The Vietnam Conflict" worn out, at the "very last minute" I managed to escape to America as a legal immigrant to start a new life in April of 1975. Through hardships, culture shocks, language difficulties and all, I graduated from East Catholic High school in Manchester, Connecticut. It was a beautiful and well-taught private school, and also it was a very strict school for which I was glad.
After the first few years living in the U.S through three different foster homes, I was able to obtain U.S. citizenship, in the process, I had elected to change my "First Name" to “Anthony" with the purpose of making it easier to be associated with.
From day one, I have been and always will be retaining all of the Vietnamese’s great tradition, which is believe in working hard, respecting my parents and others. I love America, the land that has been giving me a lot of opportunities to become successful in life, for which I am thankful.
EDUCATION:
Following high school, I attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. And later I transferred to the University of Bridgeport, in Bridgeport, CT. Both schools are from the East Coast of the USA. For four years of hard earned and supported myself through colleges where I graduated and received with dual B.S. degrees, both in engineering. They are the Bachelor of Science. in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). After a long break from schooling, I went back and recently completed my MBA degree from an independent correspondence school, thanks to the "Super Information Highway", because of which, I was able to complete it while keeping my full-time career at the same t...Expand for more

CAREER:
After several career changes, which includes over 30 challenging years as a Senior Software Engineer with NASA in Houston through various companies such as Lockheed Martin (Senior Software Lead Test Engineer), Raytheon (Design Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer II), IBM (Senior IT Specialist). Finally and Sadly! NASA Space programs are no longer a viable career for me and many others due to the current political climate; I was forced to move on. Currently, I am working for a small, new start-up private own company where I see great potential career enhancement. I am currently a Senior Architect, in Houston, Texas. Hopefully, this will be my last career change.
HOBBIES:
Education was my goal, engineering is my profession, outgoing is my personality, honesty is my belief, integrity is my character, working hard is my nature and way of life, but Music and Writing is my soul. I am a musician, I love music’s and I can play any type of music instruments such as Drums, Guitars, etc..., I used to have my own band while I was attending colleges. My band used to perform on every weekend in the Vietnamese's night clubs, and sometimes at special events such as Vietnamese's New Year (Tet), Mid-Autumn Moon Festivals (Tet Trung Thu), and many charity funds raising events.
I also like dancing and singing Vietnamese, English, and French songs, watching sports and outside activities such as playing tennis, volleyball and basketball also are a part of my life. Other than that, I am also a writer, I had written lots of poems, and Short Stories posted on Vietnamese Cyber Communities and on Vietnamese magazines throughout the United States.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
Other than participated in many charity activities, I'm also proud to say that I, myself, and my band was a major contributor in raising funds to build the Giac-Minh Temple in Palo Alto in California by organizing social events (i.e. indoor concerts, ballroom dance, etc...).
FUTURE PLANS:
Continue to work as hard and as long as I can. Hopefully, career-wise, I can go as far as possible.
Try to learn more about various things in life that I didn't have time to do it during my school years.
