Tonya's Story
Life
Going to fast these days. It seems like just yesterday I was wishing things would go a little faster, and now, life is flying past. Our girls are in school and constantly busy. We are so proud of them and amazed at the things they say. I never realized how insightful 6&7 year-olds can be.
School
I think my biggest crush was probably my best friend. Those who knew me know who I'm talking about. I will try to spare myself the embarrassment by not naming names. I think I had some great teachers, but my favorite was Coach Harper. I had a good time while in school and I miss the friends I had and the things we did. I think my craziest memory is when I was in 2nd grade and Andrea, Judy and I got in trouble for writing obscenities in the church parking lot. I remember our mom's all coming out of our classroom after the teacher's conference and they were each crying. I also remember my lunch outings with Myron, Alice, Kim & Erin. y car and drove for lunch where ever and Kim would freak over my driving. Those are just a few of the things I remember.
College
I had some great times in college. Since the first 2 years were at a junior college, I was close to home and managed to hang out with my friends often. I transfered to A&M and I had a blast. I hung out with people from Santa Fe and we had a lot of fun. I was introduced to my husband by a mutual friend. We didn't like each other much at first, but we ended up working out quite well. I made some great friends in school. My best friend now lives in Austin and we keep in touch quite often. I think the most unfortunate thing for me was I had a great roommate, but petty things got in the way and we lost touch. I think it would be great to get in contact with her again. We had a lot of fun and got along pretty well, when we weren't driving each other crazy. I loved college, loved A&M and loved the people I met along the way.
