Tracey's Story

Life I'm currently married for 15 years. We decided not to have any children. Marty and I have two cats (tabbies) and one dachshund, Buddy, who are spoiled rotten. We are very active in our church, Greater Grace of Las Vegas, as we sing on the worship team. We love the opportuntity to learn more from studying the Bible now, more than ever. It's a great opportunity to grow in maturity and spiritually, and enhance our lives -- living abundantly in the grace of God. School I went to Valley HS and was active in choir, theatre, chess club, Varsity Quiz, and I worked in the library. .. My saddest memory is the death of Mr. Piggott, the year after I graduated. I had visited him about three days before the tragedy and I'm glad I could tell him how much he had influenced my life. .. I ran for Student Body Secretary in the senior year, and the best slogan would came up with was "Don't be spacy, vote for Tracey" with a picture of Star Trek Enterprise flying by. .. I found out at graduation's rehearsal that I was graduating in the top 10% of our class.... of course no one bothered to tell me this before this time, where I could of applied for scholarships and so forth ... but oh well. I just thought everyone got A's and B's ... hahaha.. Hope to meet up with some "old" classmates through this service. Would love to catch up with everyone. I didn't win College Well from years 1981 to 1984 I went to UNLV. I didn't really have a major, except music for voice, and then I changed to theater arts. I was active in the choir on campus and also with the Southern NV Musical Arts Society, and Nevada Opera Theater for one season. I did not enjoy college as much as high school, due to the classwork was incredibly more difficult than I expected. The most difficult class...Expand for more
es were art history and astronomy -- both of which I thought to be 'easy'. But to my dismay, they were incredibly difficult. I guess in high school the instructers didn't push me as much, or I took really easy courses. I got involved with many groups at school (none of which I can remember), because it was a time of wildness of my youth, and too much 'extra-curricular' activities. I went through three years racking up only 66 credits, and nothing to show for it but a horrendous student loan bill that finally got paid for two years ago through IRS refund stealing. If I had to do it over again, I would probably studied more, and partied less. Workplace I started out working in a movie theater, at the concession stand, and then moved to more clerical work. I worked for an 1460 KENO radio station doing sales for a short period, and then worked for six years with Hertz Rent-a-Car, doing shuttling. It was fun for awhile, unless it was summer in Vegas, at 120+ degrees and vinyl seats. OUCH. After that I would work temp clerical jobs until I finally got full-time work with the police department. I've been with the Metro PD for 10 years. For the past two years, I've worked p/t being an independant consultant with Arbonne International and really enjoy being able to teach small groups about the benefits of taking care of your health and skin through botanically-based pure, safe and beneficial products. I love the opportunity to share and speak to complete strangers about their personal life and skin care habits. Military I was never in the military. My dad was retired USMC. He served on the USS Arkansas in 1940's - prior to the war, and did not see any combat - that I know of. I do support our men and women in the service here and overseas. God Bless OUR Troops.
