Tracy's Story

Life First, I would just like to let you know that if you would like to get in touch, I do have an account on Myspace. If you leave a note or message here I probably won't get it because 1)I hardly ever check this site, and 2) since I am not a "Gold Member", even if you did leave a note, I couldn't read it, lol. Life after highschool: After graduation, I decided to take some time off from school. I got a job at Treasure Island...it was an interesting experience! While I was working there, a friend introduced me to the man that is now my husband:) When TI closed, I took a little time to figure out what I wanted to do next. During that time, I got my drivers liscense (finally!), got engaged, and decided that I wanted to go back to school and at least get an associates degree. When Walmart came to town, I applied for a job there to help save up/pay for our wedding. While working there, I developed an overwhelming disdane for the place! Thankfully, I wasn't there long. In Feb. 2002 I quit working there, and in April 2002 Paul and I were married:) (We actually bought a home across the street from the highschool and have been doing a lot of remodeling lately.) I began attenting Garrett College in the Fall of that year, not really sure what I wanted to major in. For awhile I chose music/fine arts (which has always been somet...Expand for more
hing that I've loved), but I finally decided on social and behavioral sciences. Because of my initial indecision I ended up being there longer than planned, but in May of 2005 I finally graduated with the honor of having the highest grade point average in the graduating class. That was really an honor and nice surprise, considering that while I was at school there I began having some health problems and for awhile didn't know if I would even be able to finish! Since then, I've been a stay-at-home wife (which I love!) Like I mentioned, Paul and I are doing some serious remodeling to our home, and I am once again trying to decide what's next. We hope to finish the projects we're working on now and then start our family (so that our 2 cats can have a brother or sister to play with, lol) I would also like to mention that I am not as shy as I used to be. Quiet, yes. No point in talking just to hear the noise it makes. But shy, no. Paul and I attend and are active members of the Deer Park United Methodist Church, and I'm sure that whatever I do with my life, it will be done to honor and glorify God. Which reminds me! If anyone is in the area the first full week of December, keep your eyes open for the week-long Joy of Christ celebration. Paul and I help to coordinate that event. garrettcountychristmas.com .
