Tracy's Story

Okay... Here we go! Uno! Dos! Uno-Dos-Tres-Quatro!!! For the most part, things have been pretty good. Could have been better, could have been worse. Wait, I guess everyone could say that. Let's see... The nutshell: Started out going to college a little bit after graduation, then took a break. Was pretty heavily involved in church during the 80's (and still really enjoy and get a great blessing from it, just not involved in the "same" way). Joined the military (Army, reserve component) in 1988. Always wanted to do it, but wasn't big on the prospect of war (had a slew of family members who were veterans and survived, and didn't want to test the law of averages). By 1988, it had been so long, wars don't happen anymore... Went back to college after basic and AIT, then was activated a few years later for Desert Storm. I guess wars did still happen after all... went BACK to college, this time finishing with a degree in Secondary Education. Taught and coached for five years, then was burned out. Kids were great, job was fun, the system politics can take a toll. Moved to North Carolina in 1999, and have lived in the Greensboro area for most of the time since then. This place just seems like home now. I worked for a wholesaler for 7+ years, and was a branch manager in TN for 18-20 months. Decided to move back "home" and working in an aviation related field now. Never married, no kids. Think the institutions are awesome, but not something to be entered into lightly... and all the married folks said...? Now, I enjoy spending time with those people I call friends, and am thankful for the blessings I have been afforded over the many years and everyday still. So, what is up with you folks? P.S. Just saw this "story wizard" thing. Might have to check out this thing.
