Valerie's Story
Life
After school I went to work immediately to earn money for college. In April of 1994, I was sidelined with the news that I would be expecting my first child, a girl around Christmas. After my daughter was born on, I returned to work. In 1996, I met what would be the man of my dreams. Later that year I enrolled in business school. Prior to graduation, I again learned that I would be expecting my second child a girl. After graduating and earning a certificate in Medical Technology, I returned to my part-time job until I had my second daughter in May of 1997. able Supervisor for a large Environmental and Engineering Company. In October of 2000 I married my boyfriend of 4 years. On Fathers day in 2001, I surprised my husband with the news that we were expecting our third child, a boy. In January of 2002, I gave birth to my son. I continued to stay employed until April of 2003, when I decided to return to school to finish the career I had my heart set on. With the support of my husband and children, I re-enrolled into Camden County College Nursing Program. As of today, I have 3 more semesters and will be graduating from Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing School in December of 2006.
