Valerie Dahlgren:  

Life Joined the Marine Corps after graduating HS. First trained in Air Operations at Cherry Point then transfered into Weather Service. Really enjoyed both fields. During my second tour of duty in Iwakuni Japan, I met my husband Dan. After returning to the states, marriage and deployment to 29 Palms. Dan was sent on recruiting duty to Los Angelas area. So I was transfered to El Toro. After birth of my first son (Dan) I got out of the service. We had been involved with pet stores as a side business to the military, so I pursued opening a Pet Store. After a few years, a Large competitor came around so we had to follow different avenues which took us to Georgia. Life has taken our family to many places since the military. I really enjoy living in different parts of the country. Currently in Watertown Wisconsin. My oldest is now serving in the Army (as seen in the picture) and recently married, the middle one Brandon is a freshman at Univ of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. He is studying math with hopes to becoma a high school math teacher and a cross country coach. He has made the college cross country team.
