Valerie's Story
I'm married to a retired lawyer and living in Charlottesville, VA. I work as an editor for Standard & Poor's Money Market Directory, having ended a 25-year career as a newspaper reporter & editor in Pennsylvania, California and Texas. I have two children: Bill, an economics officer with the U.S. State Department, who departs next month for a 2-year tour in Lagos, Nigeria. I live in a woods on a mountain, sharing habitat with a herd of about 40 deer that I feed daily, several black bears, foxes, raccoons, and possums -- the typical mid-Atlantic menagerie. We also have eagles and hawkes. Indoor pets are a Polish Lowlands Sheepdog named Alsace (Sass), a long-haired kitty named Lorraine (Raine) and son's beagle named Tessa.
I'm in to New Thought and have been for many years. I'm helping a friend with an edit on her book regarding her encounter with God and Jesus; I work weekly with a shaman to raise my own higher consciousness level.
