Vance's Story
Life
After retiring from medicine (once I was diagnosed with a brain tumor), I've begun picking up the pieces of my life. In a weird way, I feel like I've regressed to sometime around high school when my future wasn't so clear. I'm living with my parents again, taking classes, trying to learn to golf, and living as best I can between chemo treatments. Once chemo is done, so is my disability and I will have to move on, either in teaching (that's PROFESSOR McCausland to you), or performing in some way.

given a cancer diagnosis, and I'm blessed to live in a time when brain surgery is pretty advanced. Although I thought I was having a stroke before surgery, I don't have any physical disability. The only time I've felt this alive was right around 1988 when I felt like things were just beginning for me. In many ways, I'm going through a rebirth.
I've seen a few of you guys at Rio del Oro in the workout center and Amy (previously Knepshield) told me about this site and the upcoming reunion. I'd love to hear stories from you all as well.
