Although, Veleta was born in, Atlanta, Ga, She was raised in, Miami, Florida. She considers Miami as, "Home", since most of her childhood, and, young adult life was reared in Miami. The schools she attended include: Marin Academy, (Catholic School in, Atlanta), English Ave Elem, (Atlanta), Herndon Elem, (Atlanta), F.C. Community College, (South Campus), for only, 1 year, and, 6 months. Her dream, as a young child, was always, to join the military. On September 28, 1982, that dream became a reality! And, her, first assignment was to RAF Alconbury, England, UK. While there she pursued in furthering her education, and, attended the Community College of the Air Force. Rio Salado Community College. She joined the Air Force on, September 28, 1982, and, was released on an, "Early Out" with an, "Honorable Discharge"!!!
