Verlene's Story
Life
My whole family moved to Olympia Washington in 1958.
I married in 1958; had two children, daughter Tamie Jo, born 6-14-60; son Tarryl Linn, born 11-25-65.
Divorced in 1973.
Remarried to Ted Shann 1975, also gained two step-children; Laraine born in 1965 and Teddy born in 1970.
Ted and I soon will be celebrating our 34th Wedding Anniversary.
We both worked for Pacific Northwest Bell, then name changed to USWEST and we both took "early outs"; Ted's was in 1990 and mine was 1994. He then contracted back to them as an Engineer Designer; which he still does; and also educates fo...Expand for more

I left USWEST in 1994, then was hired by a small independent telephone company, YCOM Communications; worked there as an Autocad designer and Engineer for 7 years and retired in 2001.
Ted and I have a really nice place on 3 acres, lots of yard and flowers and a huge vegetable garden. I even have a fenced yard for my "Hybrid" chickens. Lots of ground for the grand-children to play.
We have a Lord Nelson Victory Tug; we cruise around the Puget Sound and up into the San Juan Islands into Canada.
We have all the best of worlds here in the wonderful Pacific Northwest.
