Vicki's Story

Life I lived in California from July of '86 to June of 2000. I got married in 1990. My husband and I moved to Colorado in July of 2000 and plan on staying! I received a BFA in sculpture from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver in 2003, and six weeks later I had my son. My husband works for Total Welding where he is a foreman on jobs all over Colorado. I am now a stay-at-home mom. I also have two direct sales businesses to help me get out of the house every once in a while. I have reconnected with two of our classmates here in the Denver area. College Right out of high school I attended a business school and graduated with a secretarial degree the next year. In 1996 I decided that it was time to go back to school, and I started studying computer graphics. However, I graduated from Modesto Junior College...Expand for more
in 2000 with an Associate's degree in Art. Soon after I moved to Denver to attend the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design, and I will be graduating from there in April with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture. Workplace I worked as a secretary/receptionist/data entry clerk at three different places between 1987 and 1996. During that time I learned how to use a PC and type really fast. Then I got bored and quit my last job in March of 1996. A few months later I went back to school and haven't had a real job since! Well, that's not entirely true... I did work as the gallery assistant at Modesto Junior College in California, and I now work as a gallery assistant at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design in Denver. Although temporary, I currently have a job as a gallery sitter at an official gallery in Denver.
