I really progressed as a Army Officer. I had three combat tours: two in Vietnam and one during the Gulf War, where I commanded a battalion size unit. I met my wife in Fort Worth, Texas. She was completing a masters degree in Foods and Nuitrition. We were married in 1978 after an 8 year romance. We had two children a boy Joseph and a girl Kimberly. Joseph passed away as a result Type I Diabetes complications in 1998, he was attending Texas Tech University. My daughter married and had a baby boy three years ago. I completed a degree in Political Science, received a BSW in Social Work and a LCSW in Social Work. I just recently completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Texas A&M University at College Station Texas. During my military career I flew over 7600 hours, 3200 of which were combat hours. During my military career I served all over the world, less Iceland,Greenland and the two poles. I worked as a junior aide under General Pete Dawkins at the White House and contined to fly one of the presidential helicopter with Presidents Ford's and Reagan's administration.
