Virginia's Story
Hi Everyone,
Well, it's been a while! After all these years I find myself in Davis, California. Davis is a small university town, more or less between Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area.
I've recently retired from a 25 year career in Child Welfare. I worked for Alameda County (East Bay) and last served as a Supervisor in the Family Finding and Engagement Program, serving foster youth without meaningful family connections. I hold a license as a California Marriage & Family Therapist.

ing I've involved myself in the practice of Buddhism at the Davis Shambhala Meditation Center. I volunteer as a transitional kindergarten reading coach and also commit myself to the support of several animal rights, rescue and preservation organizations. In my spare time I read to my heart's content and travel widely. I am an amateur musician and play the flute.
I am at home with my partner and our two wonderful mutts.
I think of many of you often, and wonder at the great start we had at St. Mary's.
