Wanda's Story
Life
I am no longer married to John, but am once again engaged (this time to my best friend TJ). The kids and I just moved in with him and things are going quite well. TJ is great with the kids and they love him to death! Of course it is a little weird since they have always called him 'uncle TJ' now he is gonna be their dad... We are all so much happier now and that is what matters most!
My Pets: Tiger-Lily is a domestic short hair cat with a major case of 'I-am-in-charge-itus.' My Easter present to myself in 2006: My Netherland Dwarf bunnies; Sky & Amanda. We acquired Angel (a 7 yr old Shihtzu mix) from my mom who couldn't take her when she moved. We originally rescued Angel outside my home in the dead of winter covered in oil and freezing, hiding under a car that had recently parked so it was still warm... She is a fun little lap dog.
My Kids: Alecia was born Aug 3, 1991 in Michigan and lives with adoptive parents in Michigan; James was born Jan 31, 1994 in Canada and moved back with us in 2004. Bryan Robert was born April 5, 2001. Sierra Noria was born June 19, 2003 and is a spit-fire! She can definitely hold her own with her siblings! P.S. There will be no more little Wanda's running around after Sierra!
School
My biggest crush in high school was my friend Tom Jones. We had a lot of great times together and I still think about him often.
The clearest memory I have is decorating Tom's locker for his birthday; we filled the locker with balloons and put up signs everywhere (even on the chalkboard in his homeroom) so EVERYONE knew it was his birthday. We had a blast with that one!
Workplace

ine Charter (aka Comfort Bus) in Feb 2003. I drove in the St. Paul and Roseville school districts; In May 2006 I became an Independent AVON Representative and recently made Unit Leader. In Nov 2006 I started driving Transit and Charter buses with Lorenz Bus Service based in Blaine MN. In Apr 2007 I was moved into the office as the Charters Sales & Billing specialist, then in Nov I transferred over to Robinson Coach (owned by Lorenz) to be the office administrator. I still drive occasionally, but love the work in the office!
Military
I spent 8 1/2 years in the United States Air Force.
I went to Texas for 'boot camp' in November of 1987, then on to Air Traffic Control tech school in Biloxi Missisppi. In late April I was posted to K.I. Sawyer AFB in Gwinn, Michigan. (The Upper Pennisula of MI - just south of Marquette. I was still in 'OJT' when I had to transcribe tapes from the black box of an airplane that blew up on our flight line. At that point I decided this was not the career I really wanted. I re-trained in Administrative/Personnel and stayed at K.I. Sawyer until after Alecia was born. In 1992 I was sent to Canadian Forces Base North Bay in Ontario Canada. (We have an 'exchange' type program where ther are Americans at strategic locations in Canada and Canadians here in the US (mostly in Colorado I think) I moved to North Bay (which is about 400 miles East of K.I. Sawyer - through Sault Ste Marie) and spent the remainder of my term there. I was discharged in June 1996.
Fortunately(??), I was pregnant both times I could have been deployed to a combat zone so I never saw the front lines. I am not sure now how I feel about that. Part of me wishes I could have gone, but another part is happy I never feared for my life nor did I cause my family and friends to worry about my safety.
