Wayne's Story

Hello fellow classmates, I was a 1965 graduate and Senior class President. Myself and John Aragon played a big role in putting together the 1964 and 1965 Yearbooks. Myself and Mick Wyatt attended Boys State together and played basketball. My Senior Year I was carried off the court by my team mates for winning the district playoff game with a second free throw. Mick was a real bud of mine and it really saddened my heart when his life ended early. I was also lead in the annual school paly with Debbie Emerson. Was blessed to run into much later. She too was another who left life too early. After High School I went to ENMU in Portales and graduated in 1970 with a double major in psychology and sociology. I was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity and Alpha Beta Kapa campus Service Fraternity. During this adventure I got lost in Calculus III which was theoretical math dropping out. This ended my window to go into research as a Thunderstorm chaser. Becoming a counselor also ended after interviewing those in the field. Too many restrictions. Thus I ended up working 7 yrs for the State of N.M. mainly as a Public Health Business Administrator leaving three new Public Health Offices behind (This won me the Outstanding Young Men of America award submitted by the Nurses and my administrative staff. my , including one for Roswell. After a the County Manager for a year and 3.5 yrs as Deputy Support Director for the Rowell Rehabilitation Center. Did not get married until 1976 and still married to this date. After Rehab ended up in Dallas, Texas and worked for the City of Dallas Park and Recs Dept. as Support Services Manager at the Dallas Zoo in 1986. Won many awards for Ingenuity, Special Service Recognition awards, Community Service awards, and for being a part of the Zoo's 25 acre Exhibit expansion adding the Wi...Expand for more
ld of Africa. After 20 Years took early retirement to oversee the terminal care of my mother with Alzheimer's. She passed a rear and a half later. My blessed walk became harder due to the changes in economy. I was unable to return to my work field as my 35 years of Facility Support Management now required recertification for $3,000 dollars. Decided I did not want all the added management pressure. But I ended up in catch 22 situation. Too much experience for a regular job, too old for upper level positions, and I had more experience over almost anyone I applied with. Now I am moving on and in training for Internet Marketing. I decided it was finally time to become my own boss. I hope in less than a month I will see initial results for added income. My optimistic goal is to have a million dollar monthly income level by March of 2016. I want money behind me so I can focus on what I want next in life. To help others help themselves as they in turn learn to help others make money. I want to be able to support Christian ministry and help others in need with God's leading. I have come to know a lot of hurting people who not only need fish to eat but to teach then how to get there own fish. I seek God's bountiful blessings in this and want to go out with that great feeling of having helped other who deserved a break. So send a prayer my way for my dream to come true. I have hated my past few years of restricted income. In it I have fully turned to Jesus as my true door of opportunity and for God to battle my enemies in this walk and thru Christ I can overcome anything. Without love this world is meaningless. May God bless each of you and cast all your burdens on Christ Jesus who lifts the burden. Wi8ll keep you all posted on my progress. I have just recently returned to Roswell, not yet sure if I will stay or move on.
