Wayne's Story
Life
The environmental research is done for the year. There is 2 feet of snow at 11,000 ft now. Our group will be publishing The Flora of the San Juan Drainage in 2007. We have worked for 7 years/summers on this project.There is nothing like getting paid for climbing mountains, boating on the lakes, and riding horses for a week each summer to work on a research project.

Workplace
In addition to teaching science for many years, I have also worked as an environmental consultant, which has taken me all over the Rocky Mountains.With the environmental work, I get paid for climbing mountains,rafting down rivers,taking our boat to Lake Powell,riding a horse for a week in the wilderness, and hiking the many trails in the Rockies, including the Continental Divide Trail.
