Wendy's Story
Life
I left Brown Deer after elementary school and moved to Ohio for a year and a half. Then we moved to Mississippi where I went to high school. I attended the University of Southern Mississippi for 2 years and then got married. My first husband and I moved to Pensacola, Florida, where I finished college at The University of West Florida. I started teaching special education in 1987. My son, Ben, was born in March, 1988. I divorced my first husband in 1988 and moved to south Florida. I taught in Fort Myers, Florida for 14 years. husband, Thomas, in 1998. He has 2 sons, Aaron, 20 and Kodie, 16, Our daughter, Hayley was born in Aug. 1999. We moved to Kentucky and lived there for 2 years while I taught school in Clarksville, Tennessee. We moved to the Norfolk, Virginia area in 2005 where I taught at Poplar Halls Elementary School and then John Yeates Middle School in Suffolk. Thomas graduated from the Aviation Institute of Maintenance in 2006. We just moved to Chattanooga, TN in June, 2009. Now I am teaching with Williamson County Schools near Nashville, TN. I hope we are done moving!!
