SITTING, WAITING, WISHING I'm just living life day by day and making the most out of every minute of it. WHERE I'VE LIVED I lived in Marina, Ca until I was 4. My parents moved to Prunedale, Ca when I was 4/5. We moved from Marina, because my parents were looking to buy a house. CHILDHOOD I love music, so when I was a kid, I always wanted to be a singer/dancer. My body was too thick and short to be a dancer and my voice would always break at a certain note. But I still like to bust a move on the dance floor & sing to me, myself & I in the car. SCHOOL At the age of 4/5 I attended Echo Valley Elementry in Prunedale, Ca from 88-94 (K-5). Then I went on to Moss Landing Middle School in Moss Landing, Ca from 94-97 (6-8). Finally completing public school at North Monterey County High School in Castroville, Ca from 97-2001 (9-12). I went for a short time to college at Cabrillo in Aptos, Ca and FIDM in San Francisco, Ca. In 2003 I put school on hold, because of the sudden loss of my father at the age of 19. At this point I pursued work full-time. After separating from Blockbuster in 2008 and getting married, I've graduated from the Culinary Center of Monterey, Ca and I'm attending other courses at the Monterey Peninsula College for a fast track certification in Baking and Pastry and an AS in Restaurant Management. After a separation and divorce, over the summer of 2010 I drove back to Chicago, Illinois area and attended 5 different courses at The Wilton school of Cake Decorating and Confections. FRIENDS I don't have contact with some people who I use to be really close to, due to maturity levels and black mailing, but I'm doing just fine on my own and I've made a lot of new friends in my travels. WORK I worked for a very short time at the old K-mart as a cashier, when it was closing in Marina, Ca. I then worked for a year at the Salinas Golf & Country Club as a busser/waitress. Along with the golf club, I began worked for Blockbuster Video as a CSR and worked my way up to a Store Manager in the seven years I was there. I worked at five different locations from Monterey, Salinas, Prunedale & Watsonville, but also work temp. at others locations. I have done volunteer work and began looking for work to get into the hospitality industry, hoping to do cakes, cake decorating and desserts.
