mas Jefferson in 1950 and entered the US Navy in 1951. Went to weather school in Lakehurst, NJ and then to Milton Field Naval Station, transfered to USS Salisbury Sound and then to COMFAIRWING ONE which was based on the Salisbury Sound and the USS Pine Island.
