William (Mike)'s Story
Been a workin' stiff i'm sure like the rest of you since i got a work permit at age 16. worked for 27 years for the local phone company; climbed from entrance level clerk to area manager of operations of outside installation & repair and then was laid off in 2002. worked a couple of other jobs since then and was laid off again october '08. lookin' now ( as is everybody!). Have 2 stepkids, a son 32 & a daughter 30, 3 grandkids, 2 twins a boy & a girl 4 years old and a girl 7 months old. lovin' the grandkid things and struggilin' a bit with not workin' at age 56. not in financial straits yet, li...Expand for more
vin off of a tiny savings. this is my 3rd ( yes i said third) narriage yet the other two only account for three years put together and this ones been good for 20+ years (she accepts me as i am, flaws and all).
i remember the st eliz years fondly, the john marshall years not much (i wasn't much of a socail critter then) and barely remember the oriskany times at age 18-21. my c&p / bellatlantic / verizon years have been many and in a lot of departments.
i've got a little time on my hands now so i find myself updating this classmates site; maybe i'll make contact with an old friend ... i hope so.
