Life
I have been a librarian since 1969, having worked at Boston Public, Indiana U, U of Michigan and Ohio State, before coming to Kansas in 1990 as Dean of Libraries, then as Vice Chancellor for Information Services. n September 2005. I was Spencer Librarian (the head of the rare books, manuscripts and archives library for the U of Kansas), and retired in 2010. I live on my late wife's 160 acre family farm--near Lawrence. I have a 37 year-old librarian daughter, Katherine (Kate), who lives in Denver, working as curator of special collections and archives for the University of Denver.
