Life
Retired in September, 2000 after 41 years in broadcasting, 35 years in Richmond, Indiana (28 with WKBV and 7 with WHON/WQLK. Earlier worked for WOCH, North Vernon, IN.. Used the air name of Bill O'Hara. While in college, worked at WCPO-TV, Cincinnati, WZIP, Covington, Ky. and WMOH, Hamilton, OH. Also anchored Cincinnati Digest on WCET-TV. Married, daughter Karen Burdette of Centerville, Indiana (deceased 4/1/2018) and son Mark of Richmond, Indiana, five grandchildren and two great granddaughters and two great grandsons,... all in the Richmond/Centerville and Dayton, Ohio areas. Resided in Winter Haven, Florida during the winter until we sold our home in August of 2023 and returned to Indiana year round. Sister Carole McDonald lives with her husband Bill in Florida.
