William (Bill)'s Story
Life
I am in my 23rd year of employment with Detroit Edison, now working as a Inventory Analyst in Downtown Detroit working on a Project. I live in Trenton, with my wife Kyle, been very busy in the community the last few years. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat and are involved with the Trenton Rotary, Helping Every Animal Downriver Society and the Trenton Goodfellows.
I have been through a lot though from fundraising for the United Way to campaign fundraising and campaigning on behalf several candidates, including my wife, who is an elected city clerk.
I am resently finished my bachelor's degree in Labor Studies. I have now started working on a Masters in History at Wayne State. I am now enrolled in my tenth year of college study. Who said I'd be a lifelong student? You are welcome to get in touch with me.
School
As people have been contacting me, some distinct memories of High School have hit me lately, whether it was hiding out in Herr Zinzli's German Class or Watching Mr. Shuler have fun with people like Jim Stoczik, who brought a pillow, set an alarm clock and napped every day. Other memorable things were the great Basketball team we had as Seniors and going out to watch games with Jenni Ritzler and Dave Nichols. The Cookie protest in Mr. Hall's Math Class to Julie Casselberry's protest in the Large Commons.
Or playing pick up football with the guys from the neighorhood. or even the Northsiders vs Southsiders games. This was fun. Then there were all of the literature classes. Science Fiction Lit with Tom Jason turned me onto a lifetime of reading Steven King. Short Story in American Lit gave me a lifelong nightmare about Rip Van Winkle's favorite sport. You figure it out.
Then there was the Radio Show with Art Ross. What fun we had.
How about Egg Fights with Mike Filarski, Water Balloon Fights or TP'ing. All of it was done in great fun. Bill
College
My sketchy college career includes a 3 year stint at Alpena Community College, where I earned an A.A.S. in Chemical Technology. I took classes for 5 years at Wayne State and have recently completed another year at Wayne State. If all goes well, I completed a BA in Labor Studies in May 2004.
