William's Story

What a busy year this has been, if you have kids then you'll know what I mean. My yongest daughter (3rd grade) is doing well in school and has a passion for gymnastics and she enjoys that competition. My son (5th grade) has moved up from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. Now we are going hiking and camping more often than ever. It's big fun though, if you have a boy, then get him into scouting. My Oldest daughter (7th grade) is in love with Dirt biking and she and I try to go out to the desert at least once a month and do a father/daughter ride. She is getting honors and is in all A.P. classes at her jr. high. She got her mom's brains. My two oldest kids are in band and orchestra (not percussionist, but I wont hold that against them) and are learning well. We have gone to a couple of their concerts which brought back fun memories for me. Me and the kids blow off steam by playing xbox together. My son and I really like "call of duty 4". My wife is the glue that holds our family all together. With all of the different activites: school, sports, scouts, work, it is amazing that she can keep it straight. I know that it's difficult because I have played "Mr. Mom" for a couple of days and I have personally seen how she gets pulled in different directions. This year, I have been promoted to the rank of Sergeant at work and I still get to ride my motorcycle. It seems as though I get a raise everytime that stupid gas price goes up. I am also graduating from CSULB with my B.S. in management and occupational studies (planning to go on to a Masters program soon). I am looking forward to the challenges of supervision. n Smith. Even though we would not see each other for long periods, she has alway been a great friend who would point me in the right direction. She taught me how to drive a stick (sorry about your clutch). I am so thankful for all of the help that she gave to me over the years. May you have a wonderful Marriage and best of luck. The one person from my past who I'd most like to correspond with is Cathy Hunt, because she was the person most responsible for helping become the person that I am today. She gave me a positive direction to follow when my lifes direction was questionalble. I learned a lot about who I am and who I wanted to be while she and I were together. I will always value her friendship and I will always be her friend. My son's birthday is the day after hers and I think of her every year. Last I heard, she is married and living in AZ. with a good husband and I thingk three kids also......I knew you would make a great mom. God Bless. I stillcheck in on your mom every now and then. I remember hanging out and swimming at Antonia's and sashie's pool or surfing at the beach (station 8) during the summer. we had a great group of friends and those were some really good times. The First United Methodist Curch, Sunday night youth group meetings and Younglife were also big parts of my life. The one family who I try to emulate the most is the Talts. Jaime and Leslie, Jen and Tammy (DD) I have always admired how strong your family bond is and that is what I want for my family. I love you all deeply. see you soon. I still surf, but as I get older the the boards get bigger and I get up slower. Hope to see you out in the line up. Take care and God Bless.
