William's Story
I never had any ideas of continuing with education after High School. I worked at a few jobs after graduation with little interest. So, in February 1967 I decided to enlist in what really interested me and joint the Army. After training at Fort Dix, I decided to continue my Training by going to Fort Benning for parachute jump training. After completing training and getting my Jump Wings. I was sent to Germany. ided I needed a change and requested a transfer, to the 101 Airborne in Vietnam. This really opened my eyes to some incredible action for the year a put in there. After finishing my year, I was sent to Fort Bragg where I decided to complete my enlistment.
After getting back home I looked around for some descent work and found the work I was looking for at PSE&G where I worked until retirement.
I am very comfortable in retirement spending time with my family and grandchildren. Looking forward being safe and enjoining life.
