The artist is a graduate of the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle where he attended on the “GI Bill” after serving four years in the U.S. Navy during World War ll in the Pacific theater. His paintings were exhibited widely in the Northwest and were honored in many exhibitions there. He was featured in a one man show at the Seattle Art Museum where three of my paintings were purchased for the museum collection. Several Corporations, including the Zellerbach Corporation, have purchased his paintings. In California his work has been shown in San Francisco, Oakland Museum, and galleries in Sonoma County.

recognition in the graphic arts field where he served as art supervisor for Young & Rubicam Advertising, San Francisco, earning numerous awards and having his work published in “Graphis” the international Swiss publication. After many years in San Francisco his family moved to Santa Rosa where he established Bill Nellor Advertising serving many national accounts. He is responsible for the concept and art for “Clo" the comical cartoon cow, a series that has endured more than many years for the Clover Dairy of Northern California. The artist also created and illustrated the “Funny Fizzles” the full color, half page newspaper cartoon comic series that was syndicated by United Features Syndicate and appeared in newspapers across the country. “Funny Fizzles” was also published in a pocket book edition by the Signet Bokk Publishing.

After retirement from graphic arts he spent nine years on the island of Maui where his paintings were exhibited in galleries in Honolulu, Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Wailea. He now resides in Santa Rosa where he continues his pursuit of the arts.".
