William's Story

I was born in Duluth, Minnesota and my family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico when I was 11 and then to Los Angeles when I was 14, before finally moving to Bell. He currently is living in Spring Hill, Florida with his loving wife Cindy. . William's schools include Bell High School. William later attended Defense Language Institute, Dept. of Defense, Monterey, CA (German), BYU (Brigham Young University) (German), Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, CA (AA degree in Foreign Language/German), San Jose State University (BA/BS History and Systems Engineering).. After high school I joined the Navy and served 4 years as an Aviation electrician and instrument repairman. I also was part of a helicopter Search and Rescue team.. After the Navy I had the most exciting job at Seal Beach, CA., working on the Saturn V second stage rocket. I met many astronauts. After graduating from San Jose State I worked at General Electric in San Jose, CA, working as a Sr Methods Specialist and completed a 2 year Manufacturing Management Program. After 7 years I moved to Milwaukee, WI, where I worked at Allis Chalmers as Manager of Production and Inventory Control. I also enjoyed assign...Expand for more
ments in Germany co-ordinating transfer of programs. I moved to Florida and began working for Raytheon Company. I was involved in fabrication, assembly and installation of US Navy and Airport Radar Systems. I was promoted from manufacturing engineer to manager of manufacturing engineering to Operations Manager. In my spare time I earned an MBA at Florida Institute of Technology. I was later assigned to Raytheon Missile Systems in Tennessee where we manufactured major missile systems for the US Army and US Navy.. He completed a Senior Manufacturing Management course at Boston University and was promoted to a Senior Manager at Raytheon. I also enjoyed a parallel career in the U.S. Army where he served as a Military Intelligence officer., I had overseas tours in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and in Kuwait. Music William likes includes Janis Joplin, The Association (with fellow schoolmate - Larry Ramos), Bob Dylan (Note, he lived 3 houses from me in Duluth and we attended the same elementary school but I never got to know him)The Beatles. TV shows I also like include Crusader Rabbit, Our Miss Brooks. and all mystery shows. and working on computers and latest technology.
