While in high school I was more into after school activities, I was in Boy Scouts (troop 144) hunting and fishing with my father and in my Senior year Cars and girls became an important attraction. I feel in love on a daily basis I think, one young Lady caught my heart and I thought that was true love, must of been because it hurt so much when she broke my heart. She made me cry and I don't know why (even to this day). I was average in my studies and tried College for a year but just couldn't put a direction to my life. I joined the Navy to escape and put a direction to my life. What I found was that I enjoyed the life style and the travel. I was on the USS White Plains, USS San Jose, USS Holland, USS Hunley, USS Iowa and finally USS Ashland. And a few shore commands along the way, NAS Alameda (NARDAC), Subase New London.
