Willie's Story
I was bore in Weaverville on what was & probably still is Hamburg Mountain Dr. Sprinkles came to Mom & Dad' s on the 5th of Feb. 1933. As you all know we graduated in 1951, on the 11th day of September I met my husband, on the 13th we had our first date & on the 3rd of November we were married . Our oldest son was borne on Dec. 16, 1952 our youngest on October 4 1954. I have three grandchildren two boys & one girl. and 3 great-grandchildren My oldest grandson is a corrections officer for Orange County Sheriff's Department (Orlando, Fl.) where we lived for 48 years. My youngest just graduated from UNC with a Bachelor of Science Degree. .We moved to Orlando in 1964. below me Five minutes away. My husband was the plumbing foreman for Orange County Schools until he retired .We were married 60 years, 7 months, and 23 days when God called him home. My family then moved me up to Danbury because they did not want me staying in Orlando with no family close by. But I had my friends & church family. I sold my home now I am having to pay rent. I love being near my family, but I really miss Fl. (friends, church, church family doctors, etc.) and especially the Fl. weather, I do not like cold weather, snow, rain & mud. I do not drive up here as Gary and Debbie does not want me driving or going anywhere by myself. Which is OK by me as I do not like all the curves & I am really afraid of them. Oh but I do have my own car that we take when I want or need to go anywhere. My son has it at his house.
