John AKA Jack's Story
After deciding that college was not for me, I worked at Holiday House Ski Shop in Pasadena and Mt. Waterman Ski lifts for a few years. I left the life of fun and games and got a job as a clerk at Ralph M. Parsons in Pasadena.
I worked at Parsons for 9 years, spending a year and a half in Saudi Arabia and a year in Columbus Ohio. I left Parsons and have spent the last 30+ years at the same Architectural-Engineering firm with headquarters in Los Angeles. When I began my time with the firm we about 1,000 employees. Through growth and acquisitions we are now over 90,000 employees with offices around the world.

In recent years I joined the IT department and have traveled to our global offices in Milan, Hong Kong, Singapore. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen China. Johannesburg South Africa, Abu Dhabi and London, implementing enterprise software systems and training the end users.
I live in San Clemente (since 1993) with my wonderful wife Perla. We have been married 30 years now and have no children. We love it here at the beach and cool smog free weather. (I always hated the heat and smog in LC).
After 40 years in the engineering industry I decided to retire early and loving every minute of it. Surely do not miss the grind or alarm clock. I thought I might get bored but so far there is something to do or that needs doing every day. Life is wonderful!
