Wilma-Inciong's Story

Life I was born in Tanauan, Batangas, Philippines. I was raised in Mataasnakahoy, Batangas til after high school. My second home was Chicago, Illinois where I completed my college education in 1982, got my very first job as a Respiratory Therapist at Children's Memorial Hospital right after graduation. By the time I moved to our third home in Southern California in 1989, I already have a well established family with two toddlers. It was a permanent relocation and a great transition to buying our very first home. Another great start for me and my husband Rey. At this present time, the two toddlers we had are now both college students at Cal State University in LA and Cal Poly University in Pomona. To date (July, 2010) it's been over a year since my daughter, Lauren graduated. As a licensed RN, she had to take a non RN position at Pomona Valley Hospital, making half of what she should be making just to get her foot at the door. She then took a giant leap to a much higher position as a Nursing Supervisor at another facility, shortly thereafter. I thought that this type of transition is pretty much strange but surprising to many. My motherly instinct and extensive employment history gave her a better vision of which step to take. One thing she loved in her new adventure is meeting, helping and getting along with new people especially needy patients. The uncomfortable breaking news of a possible 350 lay offs at the workplace made us both think twice about acquiring the 4GiPhone. This economic radar is at it's full alert for us all to tighten up the belt. On the other hand, Daniel is expected to graduate next year in Civil Engineering. He had amazingly done 4 consecutive years of summer school - to expedite the graduation process. What else can any parent wish for? More updates will be posted here as it happens...... Doing over my life means just enjoying my teenage - early twenties life to the fullest without changing the outcome of my present life....... Workplace..... I have been Respiratory Therapist or RCP, Respiratory Care Practitioner for 25 years now... 2008 Financial Tsunami as we all see is here to stay. This present economic crash is beyond everyone's imagination especially in the United States. I used to hear about crisis from my mom in the late 60's and little did I know that it was just a speck of what it really is right now. I'm talking about 48 years ago I was made aware of this so called hardship in one aspect but some thousand years ago the Bible had already mentioned this and is now in fulfillment and actually full blown in all aspects. This my dear reader does not scare me and my family because we are prepared for what is still yet to happen. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's time to wake up unless you're in for a terrifying surprise. Just ask me OK...
