I have 2 beautiful grown daughters.
Would you believe that I'm now a Grammie of 2 awesome granddaughters and a new Grandson??!! Love my girls & Grandchildren, so much! My eldest granddaughter is now nearly a teenager (!!!) & the youngest granddaughter is 5 years young!! My Grandson was born 31 Dec 2010....!!! Being a Grammie is so awesome! I have been so very blessed!!!! I am enjoying being retired from the Military & work part-time (for myself!), just to keep busy & in shape & in touch with the world. I live on a beautiful acreage N of Edmonton, with my dogs & cats. (No horse, yet. Working on that... ) :D
Also, my youngest daughter joined the CF in July of 2002, as an RMS Clerk! I've since retired as of May 2003, with 26years & 226 days of service; but, who was counting! My eldest daughter is an Early Childhood Educator Level II. I'm so proud of both of my girls; they are both doing so well! Amazing young women!!
I miss the great people I've met throughout my life, during my military service & in my travels; mostly the camaraderie. . . I've many memorable times, lots of laughs, travels & experiences that I will never forget and will cherish in my memory. But the good friends I will remember, always! The hardest part of having been in the military is, now that I'm retired, my children, grandchildren and most of my closest friends are far away. Thank God for air travel !! I am so torn about moving. Do I move here? Do I move there? I love my children and grandchildren dearly!! I miss them so much, every single day. I miss the Comox Valley also and my dear friends who live there..... I love Alberta, where I was born and raised and grew up on a farm. You can take the girl out of the country, but you really can't take the country out of the girl!! I spent 90% of my career living in cities. ve everything about it. The peace, tranquility, fresh air, birds, wildlife, the splendor of nature, room to breathe, hills, valleys, streams, rivers, the big open prairie sky, the bright stars at night, the amazing Northern Lights, the glorious sunrises, my panoramic view, the ever changing seasons and the variety of work and challenges that come with each of them --when you live in the country. I guess I'm just not ready to slow down, or to take the easy way out. Not just yet........ But, as I like to say, "My crystal ball is broken!!" Who knows what my future will bring, or where it will find me??........ Well, guess what? I'm tired of living alone, so have finally decided to join my family in hot & humid summers, along with the cold & damp winters of MB!!! Lots of preparation in moving. Never a dull moment!! :)
We're not here for a long time, so we should all be helping one another out in life, as life is difficult, at times. Also, when we are young & don't know any better, I'm sure we've all made a few poor choices here or there....... for reasons we didn't even understand then. Forgive me for making those mistakes and for not being "perfect.". Just know that I try to live and learn and then move on. I would help anyone in need, if possible, and do, every chance I get. I totally love doing RAOK (Random Acts of Kindness) as there is never enough of that to go around!! I have a huge heart, that sometimes, folks take advantage of. I am a strong woman, both mentally and physically, kind and compassionate, honest and caring. I have worked extremely hard and also done some extremely hard work (especially for a woman!) I try to make this world a better place and when I leave it behind, I hope those who really know me and love me, will say that I made a difference. :D
