Wynette's Story

Life After high school graduation, went to work for Industrial Suppliers (Marie Nixon's dad).In 1970 moved to Atlanta and went to work at Ga.Tech in the School of Physics.I married one of the professors in 1972. My husband made a career change in 1975 and we moved to Jacksonville, FL where he took a job with Gulf Life Ins. Co. as an Actuary. Moving away from all my family was a hugh growing experience. In Jacksonville,I worked for a group of psychological consultants until our son, Jeff, was born in 1979. Now that has really been a learning and growing experience --and I am grateful! ught us to Nashville in 1991. My husband retired in April 2002. We're enjoying the empty nest and love traveling. Although I graduated in '67, I went through school with class of '66. Some of my classmates may remember that I had heart surgery in my sophomore year and missed so much school, I decided to go an extra year --good decision. I had another heart surgery in 1998 -- I have two artificial valves and a pacemaker but I'm doing really well. I was a quiet little thing in high school but I'm not so quiet anymore. I remember many of the people I went to school with. I am grateful to God for the wonderful life He has given me. LHS grads from other years may remember my siblings: Theo Wright '54; Cathaleen '55; Ann '60; Patricia '63 and Sherral '69.
