The most important thing about college (Marshall) other than getting an education was the fact that I met my future husband there. I met my future husband while I was a senior and he was a freshman. I also worked all four years in college to help pay expenses. In fact, it was through one of my several jobs that I met my husband.
My older sister and I started college together. That was a help to me because I was only sixteen when I started and was homesick.
I taught school in my own high school (Scott) one year, 7 years in Lexington, VA and 21 years in Hanover County, VA
