CLASS of 1980 members: here is an update for the social on Friday, June 3rd. The time is from 6 pm until...... and all classmates are welcome to attend this meet and greet. It will be held at County Line Bar (Hwy 90) at no cost to you EXCEPT for the drinks (non-alcoholic or alcoholic) you (must) buy at their bar. Newly renovated and very nice inside and offers plenty of activities as we catch up with each other and have fun! NO OUTSIDE DRINKS OF ANY KIND NOR FOOD IS ALLOWED INSIDE OR ON THE PREMISES. PLEASE HONOR THIS! There will be assorted platters to choose from to include wings, tenders, veggies, fruit and more to choose from. FRIENDLY REMINDER: The Saturday night event is closed so if you did not RSVP by the deadline and receive an invitation, you will be unable to attend. The committee has tirelessly worked hard for two years to host a reunion but due to Covid challenges, it was just not possible, keeping sensitive to medical issues for many classmates. Yes, one was scheduled at a nice venue this year and the date was announced last year. However, due to a very low response rate of less than 40 at the time we needed to provide numbers to the venue, it was decided to not expend out A LOT of money at a large venue with such a small crowd. We had to regroup again and a 2 for 1 deal was offered and several took advantage of that offer. There will be a 45th reunion in three years and please know that the committee (many of us from the 5th reunion to current date) has worked hard for years to host fun events for us to gather together and reconnect. As it has been said before, anyone can be a part of the planning process. Life is short and we are not promised tomorrow, as we know. To date, 37 of our classmates have passed away (that we are aware of). If you know of anyone that has passed away, please message me so he/she can be added.
