It’s been 50 years in the making, and we are pleased to announce that the North Nashville High School Class of 1974 will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a reunion September 19-22, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee! Planning has been taking place for months, securing locations, catering, photography, transportation and more, and what’s needed to round out this memorable occasion is you! On Thursday, September 19, classmates will gather for a Meet & Greet at Sam’s Sports Grill, 2001 Lakeshore Drive, Old Hickory, TN 37138. Food will be provided, and classmates and their guests will purchase their own beverages. On Friday, September 20, the 50th Reunion Gala and tour takes place at the African American Music Museum, located at 510 Broadway in downtown Nashville. For those wanting to avoid downtown parking and traffic, parking will be available at First Baptist Church, Capitol Hill, 625 Rosa Parks Blvd., Nashville, TN 37203, and transportation will be provided from the church to the museum between certain hours. On Saturday, September 21, classmates will gather for a morning walk at Hartman Park, 2801 Tucker Rd., Nashville, TN 37218, and afterward, psychiatrist Dr. Emile Risby, our 1974 classmate, will provide behavioral health and wellness tips. On Sunday, September 22, classmates will worship together and financially bless the congregation at Lee Chapel AME Church,1200 Dr. DB Todd Jr. Blvd., Nashville, TN 37208. We will provide times for each activity as we get closer to our reunion weekend. However, deposits and down payments to venue and service providers are required now, so please solidify your previous verbal or texted Yankee excitement with your financial commitment as soon as possible, preferably within the next 30 days. The cost is $200 per 1974 classmate, and $100 per guest. Installments are accepted, with payment in full due by August 8.
