The SHS Reunion in Dana Point on October 7, Apparently, it is now a closed event for 100 people. Sadly, so many of us will miss it. Being that I live in the area, and I’ve been looking forward to the 50th for 10 years, I’ would like to offer other activities. Or, if you do attend the reunion and would like to continue afterwards, we can plan something for that evening 1. I have set up tentative locations for karaoke on Friday October 6 ,7 and 8 : A. Friday Oct 6 9pm-130am Azteca Mexican Restaurant 12911 Main St, Garden Grove B. Saturday Oct 7 9pm-12pm Don Jose’s 9093 Adams Ave Huntington Beach C. Sunday Oct 8 6pm-10pm Fedora’s Restaurant and Bar 24401 Ridge Route dr. Laguna hills 2. Whale Watching: Dana Point Harbor hosts whale watching on a daily basis, It would be nice do a Roadrunner Whale Watch. It’s only 2 hours and very reasonable (discount tickets through Groupon) Please let me know if you are interested and what days and time. For those of us who aren’t attending the picnic on Saturday, I’d suggest that we can go whale watching. I would imagine that 1pm would be a good time, but I’m flexible and willing to go any of the 3 days. Please let me know if you’re interested. 3. There are nice restaurants in the harbor where we can catch up with a drink or a meal. The most popular ones are A. The Wind and Sea (great Mai Tai’s) B. Harpoon Henry’s C. El Torito D. The Chart House I would suggest that we go to the Wind and Sea for food and cocktails after whale watching. 4. Where to stay: A. The Marina Inn is a bit rustic, but very reasonable ($150 a night) and right in the Harbor B. The Marriot Hotel is much more elegant and right across the street from the Harbor I hope this is helpful. Everyone is invited. Please let me know if you are interested
