Lenny was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord resulting in muscle weakness and atrophy. We have organized this fundraiser to help the Alvarez family with medical costs and treatment for Lenny that will hopefully slow the progression of the disease.
