Login/password help

Click the links below—or scroll down—to see answers to commonly asked questions about logging into your Classmates membership.

How do I log into my Classmates membership?

If you've already registered with Classmates.com, you can log in using your password and either your registration number or the email address listed on your membership. Note: Your registration number and password were emailed to you when you originally registered with Classmates.

If you're sharing a computer and the home page says someone else is logged in, you'll need to log that person out first. Click Log Out at the top or bottom of any Classmates page. Once you've logged out, check the drop-down menu on the left side of the page to see if your login information is listed. If so, select it and click Log In. If not, enter your information in the fields on the right side of the page and click Log In.

You can log into your Classmates membership no matter what computer you're using, as long as you have your registration number or email address and your password.

I don't remember my password. How can I log in?

If you've forgotten or misplaced your password, click Forgot your Password? directly below the password field on the login page. We'll send you an email with a link to reset your password—simply follow the instructions to choose a new password and log in.

Please make sure that you're not using any email filtering programs that would block email from Classmates.com.

How do I change my Classmates password?

To change your Classmates password, follow these steps:

  1. At the top or bottom of any Classmates page, click Account.
  2. Enter your current password and click LOG IN.
  3. Under Quick Finder, click Password. You'll be taken to a page where you can enter and confirm your new password.
  4. Click UPDATE to save your new password.

I tried submitting a password request, but my information wasn't accepted. What can I do?

If your password request is not initially accepted, keep in mind that the name and email address you enter must exactly match the information you gave during registration or when you last updated your account. It may help to try another version of your name (nickname, maiden name, middle initial, etc.) or an alternate email address.

If you no longer have access to the email address you used to register, please see below:

  • Free members: If you are unable to reset your password due to a changed email address, please re-register with Classmates.com using your current information.
  • Gold members: If you are unable to reset your password due to a changed email address, please contact Member Care for further assistance with accessing your paid membership.

I submitted a password request but never received an email. Why?

If you haven't received our email within 30 minutes of submitting your password request, try these steps:

  1. Check your spam or bulk email folder.
Email from Classmates.com may have accidentally arrived in your "spam" or "bulk" email folder instead of your inbox, depending on the settings of your email program (Outlook, Eudora, etc.) or your email provider (AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.).

  2. Add Classmates.com to your address book or email "safe list."
Most email providers or spam-filtering software programs give you the option to add companies and people to an email "safe list" or address book. Check with your email provider to see what steps you can take to make sure you receive messages sent from Classmates.com.

How do I log out of my Classmates membership?

To log out of your Classmates membership, click Log Out at the top or bottom of any Classmates page. Select whether or not you'd like the computer to remember your password, then click Log Out again.

If you're using a public computer (such as in a library or cyber cafe), we recommend that you increase your security by selecting Do not remember my password on this computer. Choosing this option will require you to log in manually the next time you visit. Otherwise, select the option labeled Remember my password on this computer, and you'll automatically log into Classmates the next time you visit the site from the same computer.
