‘90s and 2000s Films

Costner continued to see fairly consistent success throughout the ‘90s, landing roles in well-known films such as JFK(1991) and The Bodyguard(1992) alongside Whitney Houston. Costner’s career began to see fluctuations starting in the late ‘90s, as he appeared in several box office failures, including The Postman(1997), which Costner also directed.

Television Work

In the mid to late 2000s, Costner began to see success in television, starring in a three-part miniseries called Hatfields and McCoys in 2012, and in the award-winning neo-Western drama series Yellowstone from 2018 to 2024. Costner won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series Drama for his role as rancher Jack Dutton in Yellowstone.
