Sharon Yvonne Stone (born March 10, 1958) is an actress, film producer, and former fashion model. She is a 1975 graduate of Saegertown High School, in Saegertown, PA. A gifted student, Stone participated in drama and was a member of the newspaper staff, among other activities.

Stone’s first brief career was modeling, but she soon turned to acting. Her first on-screen appearance was in Woody Allen’s 1980 film, Stardust Memories. Other early projects include appearances in Silver Spoons (1982) and Magnum, P.I. (1984) and a major role in 1985’s King Solomon’s Mines. Stone’s breakout performance was her starring role in Basic Instinct (1992). Notable films also include Casino (1995), The Mighty (1998), The Muse (1999), Broken Flowers(2005), and Fading Gigolo (2013). Stone has done additional television acting as well. She appeared in The Practice (2004) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2010) and starred in the one-season series Agent X (2015). Most recently, she appeared in the 2017 film The Disaster Artist.

Stone was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995.
